How To Care For Any Cloth

Cotton

Cotton Cloth are likely to shrink in water and dust. Wash cotton clothes in cold water. Chlorine bleach can be used to remove stains from white clothing unless the clothing label prohibits it. Before ironing cotton clothes, sprinkle water. It will make the clothes smooth. If it is left unused for a long time, the folds of the cloth become wrinkled. So keep naphthalene or neem leaves in the cupboard.


Silk

Silk can be dry-cleaned or dry-cleaned. Cold water and liquid soap or shampoo can be used to clean silk. Colored silk Cloth can sometimes bleed. It is best to dry-clean such garments. Never rub a piece of silk too hard to remove stains, as this can cause the color to fade. If the silk saree is left for a long time, the folds are cut. This problem can be prevented by keeping the saree rolled in cardboard.
Using detergents that are too harsh for wool can damage wool garments. Use mild detergent or liquid soap. Keep away from direct sunlight while drying

Linen

Before washing linen, check the clothing label to see if it says to dry-clean. Adjust the water temperature according to the color of the cloth. Linen absorbs more water than other fabrics, so don't soak with fabrics that tend to fade. Turn the garment inside out while ironing. Steam iron is good for linen.


Polyester

Most polyester fabrics can be washed in a washing machine with hot water. If necessary, you can use chlorine bleach. However, tumble drying should be done at a low temperature. Take clothes out of the dryer slightly damp to prevent them from creasing. Ironing should always be done at a low temperature, as ironing too hot can damage the polyester.
